About Richard Gee Richard M. Gee maintains a general legal practice in Colorado, representing individuals, small to medium sized businesses (including startups), real property owners and developers in a wide array of matters from transsactions through litigation. Richard has extensive experience in business acquisitions, mergers and dispositions with expertise in venture and equipment financing and related documentation as well as the preparation and negotiation of shareholder, partnership, joint tenancy and LLC operating agreements. His expertise also includes intellectual property acquisition, disposition, assignment, licensing, clearance and registration as well as the preparation and negotiation of entertainment contracts. With over 17 years of legal experience, Richard advises on legal real estate related matters including property acquisition, 1031 exchanges, title issues, financing, construction, leasing, land use, governmental takings representation, development, common interest development, redevelopment and disposition services. A native Spanish speaker, Richard has represented several Latin-American companies in business matters both in the United States and in Latin America. He most recently served as Business Affairs Manager for Univision Music Group, the largest Latin music label. Additionally, Richard's experience extends to real property and business litigation. His litigation practice includes DUI representation, offering litigation services throughout the Peak to Peak areas of Clear Creek, Boulder, Gilpin, Jefferson, Adams and Broomfield Counties. He is admitted to practice law in California and Colorado, is a member of the State Bar of California, and a member of the Colorado Bar Association and the First District Bar Association. Mr. Gee is a graduate of Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he was on the dean’s list and was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Los Angeles with a major in history.
